Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat JAB1 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, PT18 mouse mast/basophil cell line, and L6 rat myoblast cell line. PVDF Membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Sheep Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat JAB1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF6390) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for JAB1 at approximately XXX kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group XXX.

JAB1 (Jun activation domain binding protein-1), also called COPS5 or CSN5 (COP9 signalosome-5), is a 334 amino acid, 38 kDa protein that is a subunit of the COP9 signalosome complex. It mediates cytosolic translocation of the cell cycle inhibitory protein, CDKN1B/p27Kip1, for degradation, thus promoting proliferation. It is widely expressed, especially in proliferating cells, and upregulates granulopoiesis when overexpressed.
The reconstitution calculator allows you to quickly calculate the volume of a reagent to reconstitute your vial. Simply enter the mass of reagent and the target concentration and the calculator will determine the rest.
