Detection of Sonic Hedgehog/Shh in PC‑3 Human Cell Line by Flow Cytometry. PC-3 human prostate cancer cell line was stained with Rat Anti-Human/Mouse Sonic Hedgehog/Shh N-Terminus PE-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC4641P, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # IC006P, open histogram). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # FC004) and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Permeabilization/Wash Buffer I (Catalog # FC005). Background: Sonic Hedgehog/Shh

Sonic Hedgehog (Shh) is a hedgehog protein that is instrumental in patterning the early embryo. The N-terminal peptide of Shh is released by autoproteolysis and functions through interactions with a multicomponent receptor complex containing the transmembrane proteins Patched and Smoothened.
