Detection of Human SALM2 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of human brain cortex and hipoocampus tissue and negative control lung and liver tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Sheep Anti-Human SALM2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF5669) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for SALM2 at approximately XXX kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 8.
Preparation and Storage
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

SALM2 (synaptic adhesion-like molecule 2), also called LRFN1 (leucine-rich repeat and fibronectin type-III domain-containing protein 1) is a 105 kDa member of the LRFN family of type I transmembrane glycoproteins. The 740 amino acid (aa) mature human SALM2 contains a 505 aa extracellular domain that includes seven leucine-rich repeats (LRR), an IgC2-like domain, and a fibronectin type-III domain. SALM2 co-localizes with both pre- and post-synaptic proteins at excitatory synapses in mature neurons and promotes neurite outgrowth.
