Q: We bought the secondary antibody Goat anti-mouse IgM secondary antibody Cat#NB7497, I would like to use it for the primary antibody, but this primary antibody isotype is IgMk. Your IgM secondary antibody contains all of the chains, including light kappa chain? Is it (Cat#NB7497) suitable for this antibody?
A: Since this 2nd Ab is a polyclonal antibody against mouse IgM, it will detect all primary IgM antibodies with either a kappa or lambda light chain. Also. by immunoelectrophoresis and ELISA this reacts specifically with mouse IgM, and may cross react with IgM from other species also.
