Background: ImmPACT (TM) VECTOR (R) RED AP Substrate

Preparations stained with either Vector(R) Red or ImmPACT(TM) Vector(R) Red AP chromogen can be dehydrated, cleared, and permanently mounted. Both chromogen formulations can be used singly or in combination with other alkaline phosphatase or peroxidase substrates for multiple label applications. Because of their stability under ISH conditions, both chromogens can be used in IHC/ISH double labeling applications. With the aid of imaging systems and software, the spectral profile of Vector(R) Red or ImmPACT(TM) Vector(R) Red substrate can be distinguished from other enzyme substrates in applications where antigens are co-localized. Both Vector(R) Red and ImmPACT(TM) Vector(R) Red alkaline phosphatase (AP) substrates produce red, heat stable reaction products that are also highly fluorescent and non-fading. The bright fluorescence of the Vector(R) Red or ImmPACT(TM) Vector(R) Red reaction products are visible using DyLight(R) 594, Texas Red(R) or TRITC filter systems. The fluorescence is especially bright in dehydrated, permanently mounted sections. Compared to other AP substrates, the Vector(R) Red and ImmPACT(TM) Vector(R) Red reaction products have a wider dynamic range, offering better quantitation of targets on blots.
