Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Integrin alpha L/CD11a Antibody (2B2) [NBP3-26189] - Staining of THP-1 cell with Integrin alpha L/CD11a Antibody (2B2) at 1:50, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 490-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).

Background: Integrin alpha L/CD11a

CD11a is a member of the integrin family of cell adhesion molecules. It is a glycoprotein expressed in combination with the CD18 beta chain. CD11a is a member of the beta 2 integrin family. These molecules function in cell adhesion and specifically bind to CD54, ICAM2, ICAM3. CD11a is expressed on thymocytes, T and B lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, and macrophages.
