Biological Activity

Endogenous agonist for retinoic acid receptors. Promotes neurite outgrowth, cell differentiation and inhibits proliferation in a neuroblastoma cell line. Also increases protein expression levels of MYCN and retinoic acid receptor-β. Anti-inflammatory.
