Application Notes
This 113 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 ug per test. A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 uL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.

Background: LAIR1

LAIR1 is a transmembrane glycoprotein(approx. 32kDa) expressed on the majority of human peripheral blood mononuclear leukocytes including T cells, B cells, NK cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. LAIR1 recruits SHP1 and SHP2 tyrosine phosphatases upon activation, and cross-linking of the LAIR1 molecule on NK cells results in strong inhibition of NK cell mediated cytotoxicity. This clone is reported to inhibit NK cell triggering via CD16 molecules.
