Product Summary

The Parameter LTB4 Immunoassay is a 4.5 hour forward sequential competitive enzyme immunoassay designed to measure LTB4 in cell culture supernates, serum, and plasma.

Precision

Intra-Assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested on one plate to assess intra-assay precision
Inter-Assay Precision (Precision between assays) Three samples of known concentration were tested in separate assays to assess inter-assay precision

Background: Leukotriene B4/LTB4

Leukotriene B4 (LTB4) is a major product of arachidonic acid metabolism and is formed via the 5-lipoxygenase pathway. LTB4 stimulates leukocyte functions including lysosomal enzyme release, adhesion, and aggregation of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. LTB4 has been implicated as a potent mediator of inflammatory diseases and immunoregulation.
