Recommended Usage

Blockade of Receptor-ligand Interaction

In a functional ELISA, 0.015 - 0.06 μg/mL of this antibody will block 50% of the binding of 4 ng/mL of recombinant mouse PlGF-2 to immobilized recombinant Mouse VEGFR1/Flt-1 Fc Chimera coated at 2 μg/mL (100 µL/well). At 1 μg/mL, this antibody will block >90% of the binding.

Background: PlGF-2

PlGF is a member of the VEGF family of growth factors, and it binds with high-affinity to VEGF R1. As a result of alternative splicing, three human PlGF mRNAs encode PlGF-1 (PlGF131), PlGF-2 (PlGF152) and PlGF-3 (PlGF203). Normal mouse tissues express only a 158 amino acid precursor that is the equivalent of human PlGF-2.
