The cAMP response element binding protein (CREB), also known as CREB1, belongs to the bZIP family of transcription factors. Each bZIP family member contains a basic domain that mediates DNA binding and a leucine zipper domain that facilitates dimerization. Within the promoter of target genes, CREB dimers bind cAMP response elements, defined by the palindromic consensus sequence TGACGTCA. CREB becomes phosphorylated at specific residues in response to DNA damage and circadian cycles.

Scientific Data Images for Mouse/Rat CREB Antibody
Detection of Mouse/Rat CREB by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of A20 mouse B cell lymphoma cell line and M1 mouse myeloid leukemia cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Mouse/Rat CREB Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB5435) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band was detected for CREB at approximately 43 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 3.Applications for Mouse/Rat CREB Antibody
