Q: One of our customers wants to buy PCT antibodies for ELISA detection from Novus and he has searched all the PCT antibodies on Novus website and has some questions as follows: 1. NB110-16925 (On the Novus website, NBP1-79065 is recommended for coating and NB110-16925 is for Conjugate. I want to know whether you have done some validation about your suggestion to confirm this recommended pair for sandwich immunoassay is the best choice. If so, I will not try other optimization such as coating plate with NB110-16925 and using NBP1-79065 for conjugate so as not to waste time.) 2. NB120-14817 (My question is the same as NB110-16925 and items below is the recommendation from Novus website: Recommended pairs for sandwich immunoassay (coating - conjugate): NBP1-79064(Coating) - NB120-14817(Conjugate)). 3. NB110-13044 (Do you have any recommendation pairs for this antibody? There is no suggestion about sandwich immunoassay on Novus website.)
A: To answer your questions the antibodies that are recommended as a pair are in fact ones that have been tested together and shown as effective sandwich pairs. We will of course always guarantee all stated species and applications, but the ones that have indications to be used together are the ones we recommend for the customers. In regards to the last antibody I am not sure what pair was used for that because I do not see it in the notes so I cannot say with 100% certainty which one would be best to use for that one and would try to stick to the others.
