Western Blot: PSRC2 Antibody [NB100-68267] - Detection of Human CCDC131 by Western Blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 ug) from HeLa and 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CCDC131 antibody NB100-68267 used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.
PSRC2 Antibody [NB100-68267] - Detection of human CCDC131/PSRC2 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CCDC131 antibody NB100-68267 (lot 2 ) used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. CCDC131 was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (lot 1) and rabbit anti-CCDC131 antibody NB100-68265. For blotting immunoprecipitated CCDC131, NB100-68267 was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: PSRC2

CCDC131 (coiled-coil domain containing protein 131) is an uncharacterized proline/serine rich coiled-coil protein that bears 6 HAT repeats- and 5 TPR repeats. Coiled-coil proteins exhibit tertiary structures made up of a number of highly organized alpha helices wound around each other to mediate oligomerization. HAT (half a TPR) repeats form amphipathic alpha-helices and are similar to TPR repeats which are 34 amino acid repeat motifs which form alpha helical structures.
