Background: SIN3B

Acts as a transcriptional repressor. Interacts with MXI1 to repress MYC responsive genes and antagonize MYC oncogenic activities. Interacts with MAD-MAX heterodimers by binding to MAD. The heterodimer then represses transcription by tethering SIN3B to DNA. Also forms a complex with FOXK1 which represses transcription.

  • Q: Does this antibody also react with mouse Sin3B?

    A: NBP2-20367 has been validated in human for WB, ICC/IF, and IHC-P. The mouse SIN3B sequence has a 93% homology with the human sequence, and because of this, we do guarantee this antibody to perform in mouse for the validated applications listed on the datasheet. However, we have not yet tested this in mouse ourselves.
