Stability & Storage

Storage of components varies. See protocol for specific instructions.

Background: TGF-beta RII

This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for TGF-BR2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TGF-BR2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TGF-BR2 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TGF-BR2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

FAQs for Human TGF-beta RII ELISA Kit (Colorimetric)

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
    • Q: Can Recombinant Human TGF-β RII (Catalog # 241-R2) be used as a capture reagent in an ELISA-like assay?

A: Yes, it can, but Recombinant Human TGF-β RII Fc Chimera (Catalog # 341-BR) binds to the plate better and has a higher affinity for the ligand. Therefore, Catalog # 341-BR is recommended to use as a capture reagent in ELISA applications.
