Description

This antibody has been prepared from concentrated cell culture supernatant by immunoaffinity chromatography using protein A. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Mouse IgG2a and anti-Mouse Serum. Isotyping assay resulted the material is non-reactive with antisera to mouse IgG1, IgG2b, IgG3, IgM, and IgA. Confirmed by SDS-PAGE.

Store vial at 4C prior to opening. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

    • Q: I want to know how the Ab was purified. More specifically, if it was with chomatography (like anti-mouse IgG columns, or other) OR with protein A or protein G columns. The latter is important to us to take presence of trace amounts of protein A or protein G into consideration.
      A: This sample is a mouse IgG2a Isotype Control, which has been prepared from immunodeficient mouse ascites by protein A chromatography using specific conditions for subclass purification. Typically less than 1% cross reactivity against other mouse and human heavy or light chains isotypes was detected by ELISA.

    • A: Their is no clonality for this product as it is an isotype control, and contains multiple different non-specific IgG2a immunoglobulins that are non-specific, to rule out binding with Fc receptors in flow and other experiments requiring this type of control.
