Support for Discontinued Simple Western Instruments and Assays
We're committed to supporting your continued success with legacy Simple Western instruments and assays. Whether you're maintaining an existing system, searching for compatible consumables, or looking for assay resources and documentation, this page brings together the information and product links you need to keep your workflows running smoothly.
Discontinued Instrument Support
Wes, Peggy Sue and Sally Sue Systems
Peggy Sue and Sally Sue Systems are discontinued as of June 30th, 2025, service and support of these systems will continue through Dec 31st, 2029. If you are interested in acquiring Simple Western systems after this date, you will be able to purchase our Jess, Abby and NanoPro 1000 systems as well as our newest system, Leo. The Leo System enables fast, simple and sensitive protein quantification and detection, processing up to 100 capillaries per run in as little as 3 hours.
The Wes System has been discontinued as of July 30th, 2021 with service and support of the Wes platform continuing through July 30th, 2026. Upgrade to Leo, Jess, or Abby to have all the functionality of Wes with additional features like RePlex.

Support for Protein Normalization Module (DM-PN02)
As part of Bio-Techneʼs commitment to quality and customer support, the Protein Normalization Module (DM-PN02) will be discontinued. To give sufficient time to evaluate next generation replacement solutions, we will continue to accept orders for Protein Normalization Modules until December 1st, 2026. This product will no longer be available for purchase after this date.
For replacement solutions, we recommend Total Protein Normalization (TPN) using RePlex and Chemiluminescence Detection (DM-TP01 and RP-001), which offers improved sensitivity compared to the Protein Normalization Module. We also recently introduced a protocol for TPN using RePlex and NIR Detection, which is linear for high sample concentrations (0.5–2.5 mg/mL), facilitating the analysis of low abundance targets.
