FAQs for Histone H2Av [p Ser137] Antibody - BSA Free
-
Q: I am interested in antibody against Drosophila H2Av protein (NBP1-78103). According to the description this affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 132-141 of Drosophila melanogaster (fruit fly) Histone H2Av protein. But according to Fly base there are only 101 aa in this protein. I am confused. Can you clarify this for me?
A:
The immunogen is based on the protein P08985 found on UniProt (https://www.uniprot.org/uniprotkb/P08985/entry). It contains 141 amino acids.
