Scientific Data Images for Human LILRA5/CD85f Antibody
Detection of LILRA5/CD85f in Human peripheral blood monocytes by Flow Cytometry.
Human peripheral blood monocytes were stained with Sheep Anti-Human LILRA5/CD85f Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF6754, filled histogram) or control antibody (5-001-A, open histogram), followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # NL010).
Applications for Human LILRA5/CD85f Antibody
Blockade of Receptor-ligand Interaction
In a functional ELISA binding assay, 1-7 μg/mL of this antibody will block 50% of the binding of 1 μg/mL of Recombinant Human Angiopoietin-like 7 (Catalog # 914-AN) to immobilized Recombinant Human LILRA5/CD85f/LIR-9 (Catalog # 8956-T4) coated at 2 µg/mL (100 µL/well). At 15 µg/mL, this antibody will block >90% of the binding.

Calculators
Background: LILRA5/CD85f
(aa 51‑136 and 142-230), and a 10 aa cytoplasmic tail. LIR-9 has three potential splice forms. One is a 35 kDa soluble form of the molecule described above that shows a 27 aa substitution for aa 239-299. The other two splice forms are analogous to the above membrane and soluble forms, but demonstrate signal sequence cleavage further downstream after Ala51. Over aa 41‑268, human LIR-9 shares 58% aa identity with mouse LIR-9.
