Detection of Human THAP11 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of BG01V human embryonic stem cells. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human THAP11 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF5727) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for THAP11 at approximately 45 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 8.

THAP11, also known as Ronin, is a 36-44 kDa member of the
thanatos-associated protein family. It is ubiquitously expressed and
through its repression of c-Myc transcription, blocks cell
proliferation. Human THAP11 is 314 amino acids (aa) in length. It
contains a DNA-binding THAP zinc-finger domain (aa 5-81), an NLS (aa
98-104), a polyGln region (aa 104-146), an Ala-rich segment (aa 197-221)
and a C-terminal coiled-coil region (aa 255-305). THAP11 is
phosphorylated on Thr25. Over aa 226-314, human and mouse THAP11 are
100% identical in amino acid sequence.
The reconstitution calculator allows you to quickly calculate the volume of a reagent to reconstitute your vial. Simply enter the mass of reagent and the target concentration and the calculator will determine the rest.
