Simple Western
Western Blot
This antibody is useful in ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry 1:100-1:200 and Western Blot. In WB a band is seen at approx. 22 kDa representing MBP. Use in Immunohistochemistry free-floating reported in scientific literature (PMID 26616873).
In Simple Western only 10 - 15 uL of the recommended dilution is used per data point.
See Simple Western Antibody Database for Simple Western validation: Tested in Human Brain lysate 0.5 mg/mL, separated by Size, antibody dilution of 1:50, apparent MW was 30 kDa. Separated by Size-Wes, Sally Sue/Peggy Sue.
The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.

FAQs for MBP Antibody - BSA Free
-
Q: Is your antibody NB110-79873 indicated for IHC-Fr?
A: NB110-79873 has been validated in IHC-Paraffin sections. We have not yet tested this antibody in frozen tissue sections.
-
Q: We have a customer looking for an MBP antibody to stain FFPE mouse brain sections. I found NB110-79873. Do you know if it has been specifically tested in IHC with mouse?
A: We will guarantee this antibody for use in IHC-P for mouse samples. We had a collaborator verify this product for IHC so we don't have any specific data I can provide. The human and mouse sequence for the epitope that is provided (DRGAPKRGSGKDSH) are 100% identical. Obviously if it doesn't work for your customer we will refund or replace the product.
