Detection of Mouse YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of mouse bone marrow. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Rat Anti-Mouse YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB2446) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band was detected for YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3 at approximately 45 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Background: YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3

Eosinophil Chemotactic Factor L (ECF-L), also known as YM1, is a secreted lectin that binds heparin and G1cN oligomers. It is produced primarily by macrophages during inflammation. ECF-L shares homology with chitinase family proteins but lacks enzymatic activity.
