Sirtuin 1/SIRT1 Antibody (9E9)

Immunohistochemistry: Sirtuin 1/SIRT1 Antibody (9E9) [NBP3-26324] -

Immunohistochemistry: Sirtuin 1/SIRT1 Antibody (9E9) [NBP3-26324] - Image of Sirtuin 1/SIRT1 Antibody (9E9) diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human testis tissue performed. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4C overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-rabbit IgG polymer labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB.

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Sirtuin 1/SIRT1 Antibody (9E9) [NBP3-26324] -

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Sirtuin 1/SIRT1 Antibody (9E9) [NBP3-26324] - Staining of Hela Cells with Sirtuin 1/SIRT1 Antibody (9E9) at 1:50, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeated by 0.2% Triton X-100, and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4C. Nuclear DNA was labeled in blue with DAPI. The secondary antibody was FITC-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).

Background: Sirtuin 1/SIRT1

The S. cerevisiae silent information regulator 2 (Sir2) protein is an NAD+-dependent histone deacetylase (HDACs) that plays a critical role in transcriptional silencing, genome stability, and longevity (1-2). Part of the Sirtuin family (Sir2, Sir3, Sir3), yeast Sir2 is the founding member of Class III HDACs. A human homologue of Sir2, SIRT1, regulates the activity of the p53 tumor suppressor and inhibits apoptosis (3-4).

Long Name

Silent Mating Type Information Regulation 2 Homolog
