Application Notes
This antiserum against Human GM-CSF has been tested for use in immunoblotting. Reactivity is also expected in neutralizations, radioimmunoassay, ELISA and immunohistochemistry. This antibody is useful for neutralization of human GM-CSF in bioassays. For neutralization, it is recommended to incubate the sample with a 1:400 dilution of the antiserum for at least 4 hours before being tested. A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.

Background: GM-CSF

The cytokine GM-CSF stimulates the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells from various lineages, including granulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils and erythrocytes. Used in myeloid reconstitution following bone marrow transplant, bone marrow transplant engraftment failure or delay, mobilization and following transplantation of autologous peripheral blood progenitor cells, and following induction chemotherapy in older adults with acute myelogenous leukemia.

FAQs for GM-CSF Antibody

Showing  1 - 2 of 2 FAQs Showing All
  • Q: I found #NB600-632 but I worry if the applications of this antibody will be changed too. Could you confirm the antibody and let us know if it can be used for IHC and Neut?

A: NB600-632 is guaranteed for use in IHC but not for neutralization. Both NBP2-12341 and NBP1-42357 are useful for both IHC frozen sections and neutralization applications.

  • Q: We have a customer who is interested in NB600-632 (anti-GM-CSF) for use in IHC and has some questions: 1. Are there any images available? 2. Has the antibody been specifically tested with formalin-fixed tissues? 3. Is there a product specific protocol, or if not, is there a recommended method of antigen retrieval? 4. What tissue type(s) were tested? Is there a recommended positive or negative control tissue?

A: NB600-632 has not yet been tested for IHC, however since it has been successfully used for IHC by our customers in published papers, it is guaranteed for IHC as well.
