Detects human IL‑38/IL‑1F10 in Western blots. In Western blots, approximately 5% cross‑reactivity with recombinant human (rh) IL-1ra and rhIL-1F5 is observed and less than 1% cross-reactivity with rhIL-1 alpha, rhIL-18, rhIL-1F6, rhIL-1F7, rhIL-1F8, and rhIL-1F9 is observed.

Background: IL-38/IL-1F10

Human Il-38/IL-1F10 is a secreted cytokine belonging to the IL-1 family. It is synthesized as a 152 amino acid mature protein that lacks an identifiable signal sequence. It binds to soluble IL-1 R1. Human IL-1F10 shares 82% aa sequence identity with mouse IL-1F10. Human IL-1F10 also shares 39% and 27% aa sequence identity with IL-1ra and IL-1 beta, respectively.
