Data Examples

Western Blot Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat NDFIP1 by Western Blot. View Larger

Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat NDFIP1 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of A172 human glioblastoma cell line, SK‑Mel‑28 human malignant melanoma cell line, bEnd.3 mouse endothelioma cell line, Hepa 1‑6 mouse hepatoma cell line, C6 rat glioma cell line, and NRK rat normal kidney cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Sheep Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat NDFIP1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF8246) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for NDFIP1 at approximately 26-28 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

NDFIP1 in SH‑SY5Y Human Cell Line. NDFIP1 was detected in immersion fixed SH‑SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line using Sheep Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat NDFIP1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF8246) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL010) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. Background: NDFIP1

NDFIP1 (NEDD4 family-interacting protein 1 and NEDD4 WW domain-binding protein 5) is a 26 kDa widely expressed protein. NDFIP1 is thought to be part of a family of integral Golgi membrane proteins. It serves as an adaptor for several E3 ubiquitin ligases including NEDD4 and ITCH, and consequently modulates the stability of their targets. NDFIP1 is genetically linked to human allergic and autoimmune disease, but the cellular mechanism by which these proteins enable foreign and self-antigens to be tolerated is unresolved. Over aa10-105, human NDFIP1 is 95% identical to mouse and rat NDFIP1.
