PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Sheep Anti-Human Tyrosylprotein Sulfotransferase 2/TPST2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF6236) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for Tyrosylprotein Sulfotransferase 2/TPST2 at approximately 42 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.|
Human Tyrosylprotein Sulfotransferase 2 (TPST2) is a 42 kDa (predicted) member of a sulfotransferase family. Two human tyrosylprotein sulfotransferases (TPSTs), TPST1 and TPST2 mediate tyrosine O-sulfation of more than 60 different proteins in the Golgi, transferring sulfate from 3'-phosphoadenosine 5'‑phosphosulfate to tyrosine residues contained in polypeptides with acidic motifs to form a tyrosine O-sulfate ester. TSPT1 and TSPT2 are widely expressed, they show similar tissue distribution and overlapping substrate specificity.
