IL‑24 in Mouse Splenocytes. IL‑24 was detected in immersion fixed mouse splenocytes using Rat Anti-Mouse IL‑24 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB2786) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL013) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. Mouse IL-24, also known as melanoma differentiation-associated gene 7
(MDA-7) and Th2-specific cytokine FISP, is a 27 kDa secreted
glycoprotein that is a member of the IL-10 family. It is synthesized as
a precursor with a large pro-region that is removed to generate a
155 aa mature protein. Mature mouse IL-24 shares 84% and 69% amino acid
identity with rat and human IL-24, respectively.
