Thioredoxin-like 5, also known as a 14 kDa thioredoxin-related protein (TRP14) is a 14 kDa cytosolic redox regulatory molecule that belongs to the thioredoxin family. It contains a thioredoxin-like redox-sensitive active site motif (Cys-Pro-Asp-Cys). In its reduced form, the active site cysteine residues reduce protein disulfide bonds. The resulting active site disulfide is subsequently reduced in a reaction catalyzed by the NADPH-dependent thioredoxin reductase 1. Thioredoxin-like 5 is ubiquitously expressed and acts on protein targets different from that of Thioredoxin-1. The amino acid sequence of mouse Thioredoxin-like 5 is 96% identical to that of rat Thioredoxin-like 5.

Scientific Data Images for Mouse/Rat Thioredoxin-like 5/TRP14 Antibody
Detection of Mouse/Rat Thioredoxin-like 5/TRP14 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of A20 mouse B cell lymphoma cell line, NIH-3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cell line, and Rat-2 rat embryonic fibroblast cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Mouse/Rat Thioredoxin-like 5/TRP14 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3769) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF017). A specific band was detected for Thioredoxin-like 5/TRP14 at approximately 14 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted using Immunoblot Buffer Group 2.Applications for Mouse/Rat Thioredoxin-like 5/TRP14 Antibody
