IL-2 binding to Human CD25/IL-2R alpha-transfected HEK293 Human Cell Line is Blocked by Human CD25/IL-2R alpha Antibody.
In a functional flow cytometry test, Recombinant Human IL-2 Biotinylated protein (Catalog # BT202, 500 ng/mL) binds to HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with recombinant human CD25/IL-2R alpha (black dotted line). Binding is completely blocked (orange histogram) by 0.5 µg/mL of Human Anti-Human CD25/IL-2R alpha (Research Grade Basiliximab Biosimilar) Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB9926). Human IgG Isotype Control (Catalog # 1-001-A) at 0.5 µg/mL was used as a control (blue line). Ligand binding was detected by staining cells with APC-conjugated Streptavidin (Catalog # F0050).Detection of CD25/IL-2 R alpha in Human PBMCs by Flow Cytometry.
Human PBMCs were treated with PHA (5 µg/mL for 48hr) then stained with (A) Human CD25/IL-2 R alpha (Research Grade Basiliximab Biosimilar) Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB9926) or (B) Normal Human IgG control antibody (Catalog # 1-001-A), followed by APC-conjugated Anti-Human IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0135) and Mouse anti-Human CD3 PE-conjugated Monoclonal Antiobdy (Catalog # FAB100P). FAQs
-
Q: Does this Biosimilar antibody have the same sequence as the therapeutic antibody?
A: The Biosimilar antibody has the same variable region and constant region sequence as the therapeutic antibody, except for Catalog numbers MAB9677, MAB9575, MAB9577, MAB9589, and their conjugates. These four antibodies have the same variable region as the Biosimilar, but not the same constant region.
-
Q: What is a Biosimilar antibody?
A: A Biosimilar antibody is a non-therpeutic, recombinantly-expressed antibody which has the same sequence as the corresponding therapeutic antibody. It is for research use only. The nomenclature of the Biosimilar antibody includes the name of the therapeutic antibody. For example, Catalog # MAB9577 is called Human EGFR (Research Grade CetuxiMab Biosimilar) antibody.
