Proliferation Induced by Erythropoietin and Neutralization by Human Erythropoietin R Antibody.
Recombinant Human Erythropoietin (Tissue Culture Grade) (Catalog # 287-TC) induces proliferation in the TF‑1 human erythroleukemic cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line), as measured by Resazurin (Catalog # AR002). Proliferation elicited by Recombinant Human Erythropoietin (Tissue Culture Grade) (0.278 units/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse Anti-Human Erythropoietin R Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3073). The ND50 is typically 0.4-2.4 µg/mL.

Background: Erythropoietin R
Epo R is a transmembrane protein expressed on the surface of megakaryocytes, erythroid progenitors, and endothelial cells. It binds Epo and transmits signals that stimulate the proliferation and maturation of bone marrow erythroid precursors into red cells.
