Scientific Data

Detection Mouse IgG Primary Antibody by Immunocytochemistry. Detection of human Vimentin by incubating cells with 8 μg/mL of Mouse anti-Human Vimentin monoclonal antibody (MAB21052) at room temperature for 1 hour followed by incubation with 1:200 dilution of Donkey Anti-Mouse IgG NorthernLights™ NL493-conjugated secondary antibody for 1 hour at room temperature. Note strong positive staining in A172 cells (left panel, positive control) and a lack of non-specific background staining in the absence of primary antibodies (right panel, negative control).

Background: IgG

R&D Systems offers a range of secondary antibodies and controls for flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and Western blotting. We provide species-specific secondary antibodies that are available with a variety of conjugated labels. Our NorthernLights fluorescent secondary antibodies are bright and resistant to photobleaching. We are currently offering secondary antibodies recognizing mouse, rat, goat, sheep, and rabbit IgG as well as chicken IgY. These reagents are available with three distinct excitation and emission maxima, making them ideal for multi-color fluorescence microscopy.

Works great as a secondary antibody on western blots and Immunofluorescences. We used at 1:100 for western on many different mouse antibodies.

Donkey Anti-Mouse IgG NorthernLights™ NL493-conjugated Antibody
By Joseph Moore on 03/26/2019
Application: Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence Sample Tested: Cartilage tissue Species: Mouse

We used this on a cell culture in which cells were adhered to slides and stained for individual proteins. This secondary was used 1:100 for 1 h at room temperature, and worked perfectly. Was able to read on our fluorescence microscope.
