Rex‑1 in NTera-2 Human Cell Line.
Rex‑1 was detected in immersion fixed NTera-2 human testicular embryonic carcinoma cell line using 10 µg/mL Human Rex‑1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3598) for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained with the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL013) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Human Rex-1 (also Zfp-42) is a 35 kDa zinc finger family transcription factor that is highly expressed in human embryonic stem cells. It is one of several gene markers used to identify human stem cells. It is 310 amino acids in length and contains a zinc finger-binding domain between aa 214-307. Over this region, human and mouse show modest orthology at 47% aa identity.
