Recombinant Mouse IL‑18 R alpha /IL‑1 R5
Measured by its ability to neutralize IL‑18/IL‑1F4-induced IFN‑ gamma secretion in activated mouse T cells. The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 0.2-0.8 µg/mL in the presence of 0.5 ng/mL Recombinant Mouse IL‑18/IL‑1F4 and 0.1 ng/mL Recombinant Mouse IL‑12.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. General Protocols are available in the Technical Information section on our website.
IFN‑ gamma Secretion Induced by IL‑18/IL‑1F4 and Neutralization by IL‑18 R alpha /IL‑1 R5 Antibody. In the presence of Recombinant Mouse IL‑12 (0.1 ng/mL, Catalog # 419-ML), Recombinant Mouse IL‑18/IL‑1F4 stimulates IFN‑ gamma secretion in activated mouse T cells in a dose-dependent manner (orange line), as measured by the Mouse IFN‑ gamma Quantikine ELISA Kit (Catalog # MIF00). Under these conditions, IFN‑ gamma secretion elicited by Recombinant Mouse IL‑18/IL‑1F4 (0.5 ng/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse IL‑18 R alpha /IL‑1 R5 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB12161). The ND50 is typically 0.2-0.8 µg/mL.

Background: IL-18 R alpha/IL-1 R5
IL-18 R, also known as IL-18 R alpha, is a member of the IL-1 receptor family and has been designated IL-1 R5.
R&D Systems personnel manually curate a database that contains references using R&D Systems products.
The data collected includes not only links to publications in PubMed,
but also provides information about sample types, species, and experimental conditions.
The reconstitution calculator allows you to quickly calculate the volume of a reagent to reconstitute your vial. Simply enter the mass of reagent and the target concentration and the calculator will determine the rest.
