Detection of IL‑2 R beta in Mouse Splenocytes by Flow Cytometry. Mouse splenocytes were stained with anti-mouse Integrin alpha 2/CD49b APC‑conjugated antibody and either (A) Rat Anti-Mouse IL‑2 R beta Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB5891) or (B) Rat IgG2A Isotype Control (Catalog # MAB006) followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0105B).

Background: IL-2 R beta
IL‑2 R beta (IL-2 Receptor beta ; designated CD122) is a type I transmembrane protein that associates with IL-2 R alpha and the common gamma chain to form a high affinity heterotrimeric receptor complex for IL-2. IL‑2 R beta and the common gamma chain can also associate with IL-15 R alpha. IL-2 R beta is expressed by T, B, NK cells and monocyte/macrophages.
