Detection of GDPD5 in HEK293 Human Cell Line transfected with human GDPD5 and eGFP by Flow Cytometry. HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with either (A) human GDPD5 or (B) irrelevant protein, and eGFP, was stained with Mouse anti-Human GDPD5 monoclonal antibody (Catalog # MAB10524) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (F0101B). Quadrant markers were set based on isotype control antibody staining (MAB003, data not shown). Staining was performed using our Staining Membrane-Associated Proteins protocol.

Background: GDPD5

Glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterases, such as GDPD5, are involved in glycerol metabolism. GDPD5 is widely expressed in human tissues. The expression levels in kidney and prostate are relatively low. GDPD5 plays a critical role for glycerophosphodiester metabolism in motor neuron differentiation.
