Casein Kinase 1 (CK1) represents a group of serine/threonine protein kinases that are present in all eukaryotic organisms. Human CK1 isoforms ( alpha, gamma 1, gamma 2, gamma 3 , delta and epsilon ) act as monomeric constitutively active enzymes that phosphorylate key regulatory proteins involved in the control of cell differentiation, proliferation, chromosome segregation, and circadian rhythms. CK1 family members share a highly conserved kinase domain but differ in their variable N- and C-terminal domains. CK1 delta phosphorylates p53 as well as MDM2 and seems to play a principal role in coordinating the effects of these two key regulator proteins on cell growth and genome integrity.

Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse/Rat Casein Kinase 1 delta Antibody
Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat Casein Kinase 1 delta by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line, K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line, C2C12 mouse myoblast cell line, NRK rat normal kidney cell line, and Y3-Ag rat myeloid cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human/Mouse/Rat Casein Kinase 1d Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4568) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for Casein Kinase 1d at approximately 49 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.Casein Kinase 1 delta in C2C12 Mouse Cell Line.
Casein Kinase 1d was detected in immersion fixed C2C12 mouse myoblast cell line using Sheep Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat Casein Kinase 1d Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4568) at 5 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL010) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm and nuclei. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Cells on Coverslips.Applications for Human/Mouse/Rat Casein Kinase 1 delta Antibody
