Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat Syntaxin 1B by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of SH‑SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line, CCD‑1070Sk human foreskin fibroblast cell line, Neuro‑2A mouse neuroblastoma cell line, and NRK rat normal kidney cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat Syntaxin 1B Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB6848) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for Syntaxin 1B at approximately 33 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
Preparation and Storage

Background: Syntaxin 1B
Syntaxin 1B/STX1B is an approximately 33 kDa member of the
Syntaxin family. It is a single-pass type IV
transmembrane protein that is potentially
involved in the docking of synaptic vesicles at presynaptic active zones. The cytoplasmic domain of Syntaxin 1B contains a coiled-coil Syntaxin domain (aa 29-180) which is implicated in the docking of synaptic
vesicles with the presynaptic plasma membrane and a t-SNARE coiled coil domain (aa 191-253). Within the cytoplasmic domain, human Syntaxin 1B shares 100% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Syntaxin 1B.
