Scientific Data Images for Human CA19-9 Antibody

Detection of CA19-9 in Capan-2 Human Cell Line by Flow Cytometry.

Capan-2 human pancreatic adenocarcinoma cell line was stained with Mouse Anti-Human CA19-9 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10625, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (MAB003, open histogram), followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (F0101B). Staining was performed using our Staining Membrane-associated Proteins protocol.

CA19-9 in Capan‑2 Human Cell Line.

CA19-9 was detected in immersion fixed Capan‑2 human pancreatic adenocarcinoma cell line using Mouse Anti-Human CA19-9 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10625) at 8 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. Staining was performed using our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Non-adherent Cells.

Background: CA19-9

CA19-9 (sialylated Lewis a antigen) is a serum tumor marker for pancreatic cancer diagnosis.  It is also used for monitoring therapy in patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma.  CA19-9 is synthesized by normal pancreatic and biliary ductal cells and by gastric, colon, endometrial and saliva epithelia.  In a normal patient, it is present in small amounts in serum.  The plasmatic levels of CA19-9 are greatly increased in neoplastic disease.
