Scientific Data Images for Human LYPD8 Antibody

Detection of LYPD8 antibody in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human LYPD8 and eGFP antibody by Flow Cytometry.

Detection of LYPD8 in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human LYPD8 and eGFP by Flow Cytometry.

HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with either (A) human LYPD8 or (B) irrelevant transfectants and eGFP was stained with Mouse Anti-Human LYPD8 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB9087) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B). Quadrant markers were set based on control antibody staining (Catalog # MAB002). View our protocol for Staining Membrane-associated Proteins.
LYPD8 antibody in HEK293 Human Cell Line by Immunocytochemistry (ICC).

LYPD8 in HEK293 Human Cell Line.

LYPD8 was detected in immersion fixed HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line using Mouse Anti-Human LYPD8 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB9087) at 5 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cell membrane and cytoplasm. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Cells on Coverslips.

Background: LYPD8

Ly6/PLAUR domain containing 8 (LYPD8), is a GPI-linked protein with structural similarity to the urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) (1). Mature human LYPD8 contains one uPAR/Ly6 domain and a Ser/Thr/Pro-rich (STP) region that may serve as a target for protease mediated shedding as has been shown for the related C4.4A/LYPD3 molecule (2, 3). Mature human LYPD8 shares 40% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat LYPD8.
