ARC [Apoptosis Repressor with CARD (Caspase-recruitment Domain)] is a 29 kDa cytosolic protein containing an N-terminal CARD joined to a C-terminal region rich in proline and glutamic acid. The expression of human ARC is primarily restricted to skeletal muscle and cardiac tissue. ARC inhibits apoptosis induced by Caspase-8.

Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat ARC by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of rat and mouse skeletal muscle tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL Rabbit Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat ARC Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF636) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF008). For additional reference, Recombinant Human ARC Western Blot Standard (Catalog # WBC009) (1 ng) was included. A specific band for ARC was detected at approximately 32 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 4.
