Phospholipase C gamma-1 (PLC-gamma 1) is activated by receptor tyrosine kinases in response to growth factors and hormones. Activated PLC-gamma 1 catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-biphosphate to produce the second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG). IP3 mobilizes the release of calcium while DAG activates protein kinase C. PLC-gamma 1 plays an important role in regulating cell proliferation and differentiation.

Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse/Rat PLC‑ gamma 1 Antibody
Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat PLC-gamma 1 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line, Neuro-2A mouse neuroblastoma cell line, and NRK rat normal kidney cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human/Mouse/Rat PLC-gamma 1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3288) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for PLC- gamma1 at approximately 155 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.Applications for Human/Mouse/Rat PLC‑ gamma 1 Antibody
