|Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat PTP‑MEG2 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of HEL 92.1.7 human erythroleukemic cell line, CTLL‑2 mouse cytotoxic T cell line, and Nb2‑11 rat lymphoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat PTP‑MEG2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2668) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF017). A specific band was detected for PTP‑MEG2 at approximately 68 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.|
Megakaryocyte protein tyrosine phosphatase 2 (PTP-MEG2), also known as PTPN9, contains an N-terminal domain homologous to the yeast retinaldehyde binding domain Sec14p and a C-terminal phosphatase domain. The Sec14p domain targets PTP-MEG2 to the membrane of secretory vesicles, where it promotes vesicle fusion. Elevated levels of membrane bound PTP-MEG2 activity in erythroid progenitor cells are observed in polycythemia vera and may affect responsiveness to colony stimulating factors.
The reconstitution calculator allows you to quickly calculate the volume of a reagent to reconstitute your vial. Simply enter the mass of reagent and the target concentration and the calculator will determine the rest.
