Scientific Data Images for Human GPR75 Antibody

GPR75 antibody in Human Brain by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P).

GPR75 in Human Brain.

GPR75 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human brain (hippocampus) using Mouse Anti-Human GPR75 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB6728) at 15 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # CTS013). Tissue was stained using the Anti-Mouse HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS002) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to neuronal cell bodies. View our protocol for Chromogenic IHC Staining of Paraffin-embedded Tissue Sections.

Background: GPR75

GPR75 is a 540 amino acid, 7-transmembrane G-protein-coupled glycoprotein receptor mainly expressed in retinal pigment epithelial cells and brain. Polymorphisms in humans have been associated with macular degeneration. GPR75 has been identified as a receptor for CCL5/RANTES in the brain. Collectively, the extracellular domains of human GPR75 share 75% amino acid sequence identity with the corresponding regions of mouse and rat GPR75.
