Detection of KIR3DL3/CD158z by Western Blot

Detection of KIR3DL3/CD158z by Western Blot

Suppression of PPAR gamma expression in differentiating preadipocytes. Expression level of PPAR gamma in preadipocytes on d0, d6 post-differentiation (d6), and d6 post-differentiation in the presence of (A) berberine (C1), (B) luteolin (C2), (C) resveratrol (C3), (D) fisetin (C4), (E) quercetin (C5), (F) fucoidan (C6), (G) EGCG (C7), (H) hesperidin (C8), (I) curcumin (C9), or (J) F1 composition. beta -actin served as a loading control. The protein expression level was measured using multiplexed capillary Western immunoassays. Molecular markers in kilodalton (kDa) are displayed on the left of the capillary Western immunoassay data. Image collected and cropped by CiteAb from the following open publication (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36297009), licensed under a CC-BY license. Not internally tested by R&D Systems.

Background: KIR3DL3/CD158z

KIR3DL3 is a member of the killer-immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIR), a functionally diverse family of transmembrane receptors expressed primarily on NK cells. KIR3DL3 is a “framework” KIR gene, and is present in all individuals, in contrast to non-framework KIRs, whose gene content varies by KIR haplotype. KIR3DL3 is expressed at low or undetectable levels in peripheral blood NK cells, but expression can be induced in NK cell lines by demethylation agents, indicating that promoter DNA methylation inhibits KIR3DL3 transcription. Despite the lack of evidence for surface protein expression, KIR3DL3 mRNA expression has been detected in both decidual and peripheral blood NK cells in normal, disease-free conditions.
