I kappa B kinase epsilon (IKK epsilon ) is also known as IKBKE and IKKi. The classical active IKK complex, composed of IKK alpha, IKK beta, and two forms of processed IKK gamma, phosphorylates and inactivates I kappa B, resulting in the release and nuclear translocation of active NF-kappa B. IKK epsilon is an IKK-related kinase with 30% structural homology to IKK alpha and beta, and is present in a subset of IKK complexes. IKK epsilon activation has been implicated in the initiation of anti-viral gene expression and in the pathogenesis of breast cancer.

Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse/Rat IKK epsilon Antibody
Detection of Human IKK epsilon by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of MDA-MB-468 human breast cancer cell line, Ramos human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line, and Raji human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat IKKe Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3199) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for IKKe at approximately 80 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 3.IKK epsilon in MCF-7 Human Cell Line.
IKKe was detected in immersion fixed MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line using Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat IKKe Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3199) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). IKKe was detected in immersion fixed human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) stimulated with LPS and monensin using Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat IKKe Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3199) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (yellow; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).
