|Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat LAR by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of Raji human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line, Neuro‑2A mouse neuroblastoma cell line, and Y3‑Ag rat myeloid cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat LAR Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3004) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). Bands were detected for LAR at approximately 207 kDa for full-length LAR and 139 kDa for cleaved LAR (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.|
Leucocyte Antigen-Related (LAR) tyrosine phosphatase, also known as Protein Tyrosine Phoshatase, Receptor-type F (PTPRF), is an integral membrane protein with anon-glycosylated molecular weight of 207 kDa. The extracellular domain is cleaved near the cell membrane by a subtilisin-like endoprotease to a molecular weight of 139 kDa. Depending on cellular conditions, the extracellular domain may remain associated with the rest of the molecule or can be shed into the extracellular medium. This antibody was made against the extracellular domain of LAR and detects both full-length and cleaved LAR.
