Detection of Human Sp3 by Western Blot. Western blot shows nuclear extracts of K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line, HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line, MCF‑7 human breast cancer cell line, and, Daudi human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human Sp3 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4256) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF019). A specific band was detected for Sp3 at approximately 100 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
Preparation and Storage
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Sp3 is a member of the Sp1 family of C2H2-zinc-finger transcription factors. Sp3 binds to GT and GC boxes in promoters and can either stimulate or repress transcription. Knock out mice indicate that Sp3 is important particularly in erythroid and myeloid cell lineages.
