Scientific Data Images for Human Transthyretin/Prealbumin Antibody

Detection of Human Transthyretin/Prealbumin antibody by Western Blot.

Detection of Human Transthyretin/Prealbumin by Western Blot.

Western blot shows human plasma. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human Transthyretin/Prealbumin Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB7505) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for Transthyretin/Prealbumin at approximately 15 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
Transthyretin/Prealbumin antibody in HepG2 Human Cell Line by Immunocytochemistry (ICC).

Transthyretin/Prealbumin in HepG2 Human Cell Line.

Transthyretin/Prealbumin was detected in immersion fixed HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line using Mouse Anti-Human Transthyretin/ Prealbumin Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB7505) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. ChP cells are efficiently generated in IVD‐organoids. (A) Immunostaining of TTR in IVD‐organoids, dissociated cells and day 60 hCOs. Scale bars, 50 μm. Quantification results are presented as mean ± s.e.m (n = 3 for transplanted mice, dissociated cells and cultured hCOs). (B) Integrated UMAP plots showing joint clustering of IVD‐organoids and hCOs. Colored by samples (left) and cell types (right). (C) Violin plots showing expression levels of mature ChP markers in hCOs and IVD‐organoids. (D) Violin plots showing expression levels of tight junction markers in hCOs and IVD‐organoids. (E) PCA analysis of the ChP cell cluster in IVD‐organoids and various cell clusters in ChP organoids Image collected and cropped by CiteAb from the following open publication (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35141969), licensed under a CC-BY license. Background: Transthyretin/Prealbumin

Transthyretin (TTR), previously called thyroxin-binding prealbumin, is a 55 kDa homotetramer of 14-15 kDa monomers that is found in plasma. TTR is responsible for the transport of the thyroid hormone T4 and retinol binding protein (RBP). It slows renal clearance of T4 and RBP due to megalin-mediated re-uptake of TTR complexes in the renal tubules. TTR is also found in tissues including the brain. Numerous human polymorphisms have been associated with aggregates found in familial amyloidotic polyneuropathies (FAP). Mature human TTR shares 80% and 83% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat TTR, respectively.
