Detects human Cadherin-17 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Cadherin-8, rhE-Cadherin, rhP-Cadherin, and rhVE-Cadherin is observed.
Polyclonal Goat IgG
Mouse myeloma cell line NS0-derived recombinant human Cadherin‑17 Gln23-Met787 Accession # CAA58231
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with Trehalose. *Small pack size (SP) is supplied as a 0.2 µm filtered solution in PBS.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. General Protocols are available in the Technical Information section on our website.
Detection of Human and Mouse Cadherin‑17 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of human colon tissue and mouse colon tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human Cadherin‑17 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1032) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF017). A specific band was detected for Cadherin‑17 at approximately 125 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
Cadherin‑17 in Human Colon. Cadherin‑17 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human colon array using Goat Anti-Human Cadherin‑17 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1032) at 15 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS008) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Lower panel shows a lack of labeling if primary antibodies are omitted and tissue is stained only with secondary antibody followed by incubation with detection reagents. View our protocol for Chromogenic IHC Staining of Paraffin-embedded Tissue Sections.

Cadherin-17, also known as liver-intestine (LI) Cadherin, belongs to the cadherin family of calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecules. It associates homotypically and is selectively expressed on gastric and intestinal mucosa.
